Avis is Papua New Guinea?s leading car rental company with over 39 years wealth of experience in the Car Rental Business and tries harder to provide business and leisure travellers exceptional rental experience.
Choice of Vehicle.
In the Avis Fleet, you choose which ever vehicle that suits your need. Notice not all vehicle types are in all our locations. We believe we have placed the right kind of vehicle where they best serve you. Avis has also offices in the Lihir and Tabubil Mining townships. Vehicles in those locations are equipped with mine specifications as required by Mines Safety Policy.Vehicles required by Gas or Oil Drilling Companies for use on Site may also require special specifications/fittings depending on their Safety Policies.

Rates
Our Rates are competitive.
In Port Moresby, you have the option to choose either Standard Rates or the Port Moresby Special Unlimited kilometre Rates. Standard Rates apply in at all our locations in Papua New Guinea including Port Moresby.
You have the option to accept or decline vehicle and personal insurance where applicable.
Corporate Rates and Discount apply to major companies or individuals with established Accounts .
Keep an ear and an eye out for discounts specials and promotions throughout the year.

On the Road
Metropolitan Roads or roads in general are constantly undergoing rehabilitation with unpredictable weather patterns. If going out after hours or driving long distances, we advise drivers to take extra care.
Travel Partners
When you travel/rent with Avis, you will earn frequent flyer/fraveller reward points. Avis is partner with a couple of Airlines, making travel rewarding for you
Reward points are accrued with accordance with the partner program
You must be a member to earn the points. Joining fee may be required for the partner programs.
Air Niugini Destinations Loyalty Program

Our Business is renting vehicles .
We provide mainly Self Drive Services however, we also provide Chauffeur Drive Services if required. For Chauffeur Drive service, please inform Avis two days in-advance.
Each vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of petrol/diesel. If you choose to return the vehicle with fuel than supplied at the time of rental, Avis will provide a refueling service at your expense.
Age Qualification & Driver Licence
Must be a 25 years of age and above.
If the Driving licence is not in English, it must be accompanied by valid International Driving Licence ,Provisional Licence or Learners Permit holders are not allowed under any circumstances to drive an Avis vehicle.
Class 6 Driving Licence is required for Vehicle Groups P, S,V,W,X..
Oneway Rentals
The only main Road links between the coastal locations and the Highlands locations currently, is between Madang, Lae, Goroka and Mt Hagen.
Minimum rental days apply between these locations.
One way service fees apply.

We accept Credit Cards; Avis Charge Card, American Express, Master Card, Visa Card and Diners Club
Corporate Companies and statutory government departments with established accounts use purchase order or government warrants respectively. Any other means of payment other than these, please ask Avis Reservations.
